Spring eggs come in all shapes and sizes
I love spring eggs, when the ladies start laying productively again. I love having so many eggs I'm sick of counting them, and I love the funny eggs formed when hen's reproductive systems go back into reproduction mode... sometimes they're bumpy and lumpy from too much calcium or deformed, for who knows why, sometimes they're huge and sometimes they're itty bitty, like this little one. We call them chicken farts. Nothing too be worried about though- as long as the chooks have free access to oyster shell, water & grit, their reproductive systems will sort themselves out in no time.
